Ah we live in the Sticks, the catskills a small village where the food offerings are piddly and shockingly one restaurant in town The Inn Between (literally between our village and the next one on) makes a fine fine veggie burger. My husband had to make sure it wasn’t meat. And, in Kingston the whole foods type (and very expensive) Mother Earth has an excellent portabello and lentil burger
The Trempealeau hotel, in the small town of Trempealeau in Wisconsin sells the walnut burger. It’s amazing…..

Good idea needed for UK and Europe [of course!].
I am a meat eater but a viable Veggie Diet would always be a good thing to acclimatise my body to healthy Beans, Lentils and grains cooked always with lovely butter as befits moi of chefly persuasion.
I favourited book because your book looks best chance of nailing this barstard.

In London a fine veggie burger can be found at the fine vegetarian establishment: Mildred’s on Lexington St in Soho in W1…

In Washington state, on enchanted Orcas Island is a wonderful little place called Mia’s Cafe. They make a fantastic beet and black been burger! They use locally grown foods, which makes it taste SO fresh and delicious.

Not served at a restaurant but off a food truck. Classic Mother Trucker Vegan Burger by Green Truck in Culver City. I dream about this burger — it’s that great.
Highland Kitchen in Somerville, MA makes a great black bean based burger – it’s huge! Served with guac, salsa and cheese. Mmmm!

sadly, Alice’s Adventure is no longer on the menu at Eli Cannon’s in Middletown, CT… but it surely would have had to go on the map if it was still there… They still serve a veggie burger, but nowhere near as good as that portabello burger…
They make killer fries… does that count?
The Burger Bar in San Francisco (Union Square, same building as the CheeseCake Factory) has/had a pumpkin-based veggie burger that makes me salivate when I think about it! Unlike any other veggie burger I have ever had.
